Migration

Migrate to Edument OS

Practical playbook for moving from spreadsheets, Fedena, OpenSIS, iSAMS, or another SIS — phased, honest, and designed for school admins who cannot pause the academic year.

  1. 01

    Inventory what you are leaving

List students, guardians, staff, classes, fee balances, and must-have reports from your current SIS, Fedena/OpenSIS instance, or spreadsheets. Do not migrate every historic tab on day one.

  2. 02

    Provision tenant and campus structure

Create your Edument OS tenant, set campuses (multi-campus on Professional/Enterprise), and invite leadership roles. Match your real-world campus names before importing people.

  3. 03

    Import people and academics

Export CSV from your old system, normalise guardian phone numbers for WhatsApp, and import students, classes, and staff. Validate class placement and guardian links before go-live.

  4. 04

    Configure fees and validate balances

Set fee structures, import opening balances offline for reconciliation, and test invoices and receipts. Do not run parallel fee collection in two systems without a cutover date.

  5. 05

    Connect integrations

Enable Meta WhatsApp Business, Mailflow email, Google Classroom, Moodle, or Google Workspace SSO on Professional/Enterprise. Pilot with one class or staff group first.

  6. 06

    Train staff and open portals

Run attendance and fee workflows with a pilot team. Invite parent and student portal access when data is clean. Use admissions embeds if enrolment season is active.

  7. 07

    Go-live and parallel-run critical reports

Pick a cutover weekend for fees and attendance together. Parallel-run must-have reports for one cycle, then decommission the old tool. Enable scheduled backups on Professional/Enterprise.

Start migration in a trial tenant

Provision a 14-day trial, import a pilot campus, and validate fees before committing.

Your card will not be charged during the 14-day trial. Cancel anytime before day 14 — you will not be billed.
